With over 18 years of coaching and training experience, Coach Eugene Ayala will work with his athletes to develop and refine fundamental basketball skills as well as a mindset and work ethic that will serve them not only on the court, but in all aspects of their life. In addition to training young athletes through 101 Basketball Academy, Coach Ayala also serves as the boy's basketball coach at Pacifica High School in Oxnard, CA. Coach Ayala is also the originator of the 101 Basketball Academy's Special Needs Basketball Camp. He is now preparing to host the camp for the sixth straight year. He has seen the camp grow from just over 50 campers the first year to over 250 campers last year (over the 2-day event). The camp allows the community members with disabilities participate in dribbling, shooting and passing drills. It also serves as an opportunity for the camp volunteers to interact with individuals they may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so. The camps volunteers are mainly comprised of Coach Ayala's family, friends and current & former players.
I offer a free first training for all new clients who are interesterd in the program. I usually make parents give me a recording of their training or games, so I can asses their level of mastery whether it is in the group or individually. In the consultation I assess individual goals and assist in setting benchmarks.
Every season I commence camps for group sessions of 15-20 students. The trainings are comprehensive that include a warmup, pool training, and step-by-step baskebtall learning. Players learn critical individual skills that enhances their ability as a team player. They are also coached on handling the mental and emotional aspects of basketball.

Semi-private training is a small group of upto 5 people and under put together either by me or by the request of the client.Players develop individual skills, then work together to utilize those skills in various game scenarios.I am willing to commute to a more convenient location upon request.
